What “research use only” means.

The legal and scientific framing behind every research-grade peptide on the market — and what it means for you.

All AMR products — and all research-grade peptides on the legitimate market — are sold for laboratory and scientific research only. They are not for human or veterinary consumption. They have not been evaluated by the FDA (or any equivalent regulator) for safety or efficacy as therapies.

Why the label exists

Bringing a molecule to market as a therapy requires years of clinical trials, formulation work, and regulatory review. Most research peptides have not gone through that process — and many never will, because the commercial path doesn’t support the cost. That doesn’t mean the molecules aren’t scientifically interesting; it means the legal framework for selling them is the research framework, not the pharmaceutical one.

What it means for the buyer

You are responsible for using the material lawfully and appropriately in your own jurisdiction. AMR ships globally, and laws vary significantly by country and even by state or province — the buyer is responsible for knowing local rules before ordering.

See our Research-Use-Only Disclaimer and Terms of Service for the full legal framing.

// Key takeaways

  • Research peptides are sold for laboratory investigation, not consumption.
  • The FDA has not evaluated them for therapeutic safety or efficacy.
  • This framing is legal and scientific — not a hedge or disclaimer-for-disclaimer’s-sake.
  • The buyer is responsible for compliance with their local laws.
